God Gave Spiritual Gifts to the Body of Christ!

The Apostle Paul writes to the church in I Corinthians 12….Now concerning spiritual gifts brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences in ministry, but the same Lord. There are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who speaks all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. God is not a respecter of persons. He does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. He does not call the equipped, He equips the called. He does not call the prepared, He prepares those He calls. The gifts and callings of God are without repentance.

He gives to one the word of wisdom, wise advice through the Spirit. To another the word of knowledge, familiarity, awareness, or understanding of someone or something, through the same Spirit. To another faith, or belief in God’s word, by the same Spirit. To another, the gift of healing is the supernatural power of God to make healthy or sound again, by the same Spirit. To another gave He the working of miracles; highly improbable or extraordinary events, developments, or accomplishments that bring very welcome accomplishments.

To another prophecy, or to say that a specified thing will happen in the future to edify, exhort, or comfort. To another discerning of spirits, or the ability to know whether a message is from the Spirit of God, from another spirit.

To another, different kinds of tongues or various kinds of unknown tongues, or languages. To another the interpretation, or able to tell what these tongues or languages mean.

But one of the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. But God has set the members, each one of them in the body as He pleased. God has appointed these in the church; first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? Of course not, but earnestly desire the best and most helpful gifts are in operation to meet the needs of God’s people. The body is not one member but many. By one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body. If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy!

Happy New Year 2024/The Year to Soar /Isaiah 60:1

Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

It’s a new season, it’s a new day. A fresh anointing is flowing your way. A season of power, favor, and prosperity too, It’s a new season coming to you! It's your time to let your light shine before men so that they will see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

You’ve made it through another year and you’re still here daily moving forward, pressing toward the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. Walking by faith and not by sight. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, you must believe that he is and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

After so much pain, suffering, sorrow, loss, and grief, during this last year, you are still alive for God to complete the work He began in you… Jerimiah 29:11 says, I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says God…thoughts of peace and not evil to give you a future and hope.

2024… The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted. To proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

2. To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God. To comfort all who mourn. 3. To grant to those who mourn in Zion to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that he may be glorified.

This is a new season and a new day. A fresh wind of anointing is flowing your way. It’s a season of favor. A new beginning spiritually, physically, mentally, financially, and emotionally. A time to realign your long and short-term, goals step by step to prepare for a bright future ahead. It’s time to soar in 2024.

Mark 11:24…Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Decree and declare, that this is your year for double, greater works, increase, abundance, multiplication, revelation, restoration, impartation, wisdom, favor, and blessings. Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever in Jesus’ name amen.

Wishing you a blessed, happy, healthy, prosperous New Year 2024 the year to Soar!

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life!

The Resurrection of Jesus took place on the first day of the week when Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early while it was still dark and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Jesus is not dead but He is alive and has risen from the grave. A wonderful exchange took place. As we identify with His death, we also identify with His life. Jesus died so we could live. The greatest truth of the cross is that when we accept Christ as our Savior, we are born again and born from above. Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. We live in victory on this earth and begin to know Him in the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

He took our sickness and infirmities for our health. He took our curses for our redemption. He gave us peace for anxiety, love for hate, joy for sorrow, faith for fear, and goodness for evil. He took our hell and gave us heaven. We didn’t deserve it but He did it because of His love for each one of us. His grace and mercies are new every morning and His grace is sufficient for us.

Jesus told Martha, I am the Resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. Every religion in the world outside of Christianity has a grave or tomb where their leader is buried. Only in the Bible is it recorded that the tomb was found empty. Christ rose from the dead and is alive today! We often think of the cross as the end, but without the Resurrection, we have no Christianity. It is the Ressurection that makes Christianity different from other religions. Some portray Jesus as still on the cross, but He’s not there anymore. He’s alive in His Resurrected Body.

Ressurection Day is the most triumphant celebration of grace and life that we will ever experience on this earth. It is a celebration of God’s love and his awesome power. It holds the promise of not only eternal life to all who are willing to humbly receive it from Him. Also, to live a victorious life on this earth through the power of the Holy Spirit. We will spend eternity in our heavenly home with Jesus and all the saints of all ages. All when we receive this wonderful gift of love called salvation. By grace, you have been saved through faith, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

From the time we are born until death, we are given the chance to choose our destiny. No one can choose it for us, not even God who created man with a free will which He cannot violate. He has set before us life and death. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.

He is alive forevermore!

Beauty is Only Skin Deep!

Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands on us; yes, the work of our hands, establish it.
— Psalm 90:17

Man looks on the outside but God looks at the heart. Your appearance is important but your heart is paramount. Out of the abundance of the heart, your mouth will speak. What's on the inside of you will eventually come out. The heart can be deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? The Lord searches the heart and tests mindset.

What are you communicating to others around you?

Will the real "you" stand up? No one likes a phony or an impostor. You are an original! Your heart should be consistent with how you look on the outside. 1 Peter 3:3-4 reminds us to not let our adornment be merely outward, arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel: rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Real beauty comes from the inside and emanates on the outside. It really is true as the old adage goes, "Beauty is only skin deep."For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23:7

The heart is where your soul and spirit connect. John 7:38 Jesus said, He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart, will flow rivers of living water. When you drink the living water you will never thirst again. Jesus is the bread of life. He who comes to him will never hunger and he who believes in Him will never thirst.

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called into one body, and be thankful. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Let the beauty of the Lord be upon you.

Let your light so shine before men, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16.

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

A Prayer for the Men Happy Father’s Day

Dear Heavenly Father, the God of Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Alpha, and Omega; Omniscient, all-knowing, Omnipotent, all-powerful, Omnipresent, ever-present one.

God created man in His image in the image of God He created him. Male and female, He created them, Genesis 1:27

Mark 11:23-24… Have faith in God. Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. As intercessors, it is our responsibility to pray and stand in the gap for the men. Pray without ceasing. If My people who are called by My name (Christians) will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land… II Chronicles 7:14.

We pray for men of all ethnicities, all races, colors, and creeds... Fathers, Husbands, Sons, Brothers, Grandfathers, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Stepfathers, Foster Fathers, Elders, Grandsons, and Extended Family Members, Neighbors, and Friends. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it…Proverbs 22:6

Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your heavenly Father may also forgive your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Unforgiveness keeps you in bondage, and forgiveness sets you free. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Cry aloud and spare not, for all men." All Lives Matter". He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth. There is only one race, the human race, but many ethnicities and different cultures.

Abraham was the Father of many nations, in the presence of Him whom he believed God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they do. Who contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, so shall your descendants be. In you, all the families of the earth will receive blessings...Genesis 12:3.

Honor your Father and Mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Let the elders who rule well receive double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine… I Timothy 5:17.

We pray for the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. For the equipping of the saints, work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. For until we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God to a perfect man. To the measure, the stature and fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11…Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men. We pray for kings and all in authority so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, who desires that all men are saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is One God and One Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus…I Timothy 2

We pray for husbands to love their wives just as Christ also loves the church and gave Himself for her. That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of the water by the word. So husbands ought to love their wives as their bodies, He who loves his wife loves himself….Ephesians 5:25

We pray the hearts of the fathers to turn towards their sons and daughters. The sins of the fathers visit three to four generations. We decree and declare all generational curses broken now.

Acts 2:17 …It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. It shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…Romans 10:9-10.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved… John 3:16-17.

Finally, my brethren be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles and deceits of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand, therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness and shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

Above all, take the shield of faith to be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplications in the Spirit being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…Ephesians 6:10-18…In Jesus name, we pray, Amen, Amen, and Amen, and so be it!. A Prayer for the Men of God…Happy Father’s Day with Love and Appreciation to all Men.

Tribute to my Beloved Father, Mr. Enoch Spicer Sr.

July 1, 1928- March 25, 2019, May he Rest in Peace

It’s the Season of Elevation, Graduation, Promotion, and Revelation! (Copy)

It’s a new season…It’s our Winning Season! I decree and declare a fresh anointing is flowing our way. May and June signify graduation time for students who have matriculated through school, college or some form of training in hopes to move up to a higher position in life. It takes perseverance, faith and tenacity to push oneself to the finish line. I am so proud of my granddaughter, Madison Christina Golden who earned a four-year scholarship for her outstanding ability in Track and Field. I had the pleasure of attending her graduation from Cal State University Long Beach, May 29, 2021, with her parents and older brother Matthew. It was a beautiful occasion held at Angel Stadium. She is the only girl and the last of my five grandchildren to graduate from a prestigious University. To God be the glory for the things He has done!

The word says, promotion comes from God. One of the unique attributes of human beings is that we all have a desire to get ahead in life and become Winners. However, the race is not given to the swift or to the strong, but to the one who endures to the end. It starts when we are babies and learn to crawl, then walk and finally learn to run. Likewise as children learn to read and write, technology has shifted our learning capabilities by the use of cell phones, tablets, watches and computers. We are learning at a much more rapid pace which is absolutely necessary to compete in our fast-changing world. Seasons change from new levels of faith to faith and from glory to glory. It’s vital to our spiritual growth to know the times and seasons we are experiencing. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God. We walk by faith and not by sight.

Jerimiah 29:11 says, I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. His thoughts and plans are higher than ours. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Many are the plans in a mans heart, but Gods purpose shall prevail. We make plans, but God has a purpose for each one of our lives. III John 2 says, Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers; The soul realm encompasses the mind, will, emotions and attitudes. As believers, we have the mind of Christ and pray for the will of God be done, not our will, but thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Galatians 5:22 says…The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience and faith.

God wants to reveal Himself to His people; If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land, II Chronicles 7:14.

The Holy Spirit is the Revelator who shows you things to come and before you call on him, He will answer. Humble yourself before the mighty hand of God and he will exalt you in due season. This is your season of Elevation, Graduation, Promotion, and Revelation.

To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. I decree and declare this is our '‘Winning Season'‘ and everything attached to us Wins. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies…Revelation 12:13. Get ready for Elevation, Graduation, Promotion, and Revelation, in Jesus name, Amen and amen!

Happy Valentines Day Black History Month Love Never Fails!

FEBRUARY is the Love Month, Valentines Day, Black History Month, and February 25th is my 72nd Birthday!

I am excited about celebrating my 50th anniversary as a licensed Cosmetologist. since 1971. It’s a milestone I am extremely proud of as I reflect on the mountains I’ve had to climb to reach this plateau.

Despite teenage pregnancy, domestic abuse, divorce, single parenting, racism, a failed business, and being a caregiver for my father who died with Alzheimer’s, God is faithful and He never let me down.

Becoming a Cosmetologist was not my plan for my life, but, it was God’s plan and purpose. After watching my mother struggle and work hard to earn a living as a hairstylist, I was not inspired to do the same. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us; Many are the plans in one’s heart, but it is God’s purpose that prevails. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts says the Lord in Isaiah 55:9. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. God is Love.

Love is an action word. Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels but have no love, I have become a sounding brass and a clanging cymbal. Though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have no love, I am nothing. Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy, love does not parade itself, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquities but rejoices in the truth. Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Express your love in action and bless that special someone in your life on Valentine’s Day.

John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Let’s be more Christlike and share the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ to a dying world. What the world needs now is Love sweet Love, that’s one thing there is just too little of, Love sweet Love. With all the hate that’s going around, Love is the answer for the world today.

Faith works by Love. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The fruit of the spirit is, Love, joy peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control against such there is no law. Love is the motivator and faith is the activator. Faith is acting on God’s word. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Bear one another’s burden and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in the due season, we shall reap if we do not lose heart and faint. God’s love is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit. Out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak. Let NO corrupt or foul communication proceed out of your mouth, only that which edifies and gives grace to the hearer. Love conquers all and casts out fear.

I love you, and God bless you.

To God be the glory and Congratulations on my 50th Anniversary as a Licensed Cosmetologist since 1971.

Happy Valentines Day/ Black History Month and

Write the vision and make it plain on tablets. Habakkuk 2:2-4. That he may run, who reads it, for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but in the end, it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it lingers, please wait for it, because it will surely come. It will not tarry. The time to birth forth the vision is now! Where there is no vision, the people perish, Proverbs 29:18.

The Lord spoke these words in my spirit, "Christian Cosmetology International Association," in 1987 while on the Hollywood Freeway driving to work. There was no internet at the time, so I assumed He meant that I would travel internationally to build and establish the (CCIA). I asked God what the CCIA Christian Cosmetology International Association is? He answered me! It is an outreach ministry to the Beauty Industry. Little did I know He had just given me an assignment. The Beauty Industry was my mission field, a Market-place ministry. Mark 16:15, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

At that time, I had been a licensed Cosmetologist for18 years and just heard God’s call to ministry. I was enrolled in the “Zoe Christian Leadership Training Program” and on my way to Apostle Frederick K. C. Price, Crenshaw Christian Center School of Ministry at the Faithdome, Los Angeles, CA.

God revealed the CCIA foundation scripture in Psalm 90:17. Let the Beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. I thought it to be perfect and appropriate for the Beauty Industry, considering we work with our hands and use them to beautify the outer man and edify to build people's spirit or inner man.

Then God told me to start a community/chapter and invite professional hairstylists and students to a monthly bible study and prayer meeting in the salon. The CCIA members were encouraged and empowered to use their talents as a tool for ministry. Whether in the market place, in a salon, school, or on a movie set; our goal and motto is to; "Reap a Harvest at the Shampoo Bowl."

The goal is to establish Christian Salons, and Basic and Advanced Academies. My first salon, Stellabystarlite, was located in West Hollywood from 1996 to 2000, and it was to become the blueprint for church in the salon. The place where people got saved, healed, spirit-filled, delivered and set free from bondage. As it grew, CCIA Chapters spread to Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Washington DC, and Los Angeles.

During my tenure, God blessed and favored me to plant much seed into the Beauty Industry. I traveled the nation as a mentor, educator, and director to train and develop students, salon owners, teachers, and school owners. Included are; Paul Mitchell Schools in Costa Mesa and Sherman Oaks, CA, Cerritos, and Santa Monica College, Cosmetology Departments. Wilfred Beauty Academies, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Gardena. Glemby International Training Centers in Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Chicago, NewYork, and high-end salons nationwide.

After 50 years as a licensed Cosmetologist and building schools and salons for over 30 years, the time has come to build and establish my school, the Christian Cosmetology International Ministry Institute. The CCIA received its 501(c)3 non-profit status in 1988, 32 years ago. The time has come for the for-profit schools and businesses to empower, educate, inspire, and motivate our youth to become skilled artists, entrepreneurs, community, and world leaders. We must invest in our future generations to leave a legacy and inheritance to our grandchildren.

I am currently in the process of writing the Business Plan for the CCIMI. I am also recruiting Board Members who will embrace the vision, mission and goals to help move the needle forward and fulfill the purpose it was brought forth and birthed into the earth realm 32 years ago.

The mission are clear: Matthew 28:19-20: Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Mark 16:15-18: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. These signs will follow those who believe. In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues. They will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

I would like to thank you for your consistent prayers and support of the CCIA as I endeavor to fulfill the vision, mission and goals. Tap “Make an Impact” button to contribute your tax deductible donation. I pray we all experience Gods agape Love, Joy and Peace during this Christmas Season and New Year 2021. May God continue to bless and keep you safe especially during these unprecedented times we live in now.

I submit to all the Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ the Anointed One...Cosmetologist for Christ and Partners!

Fear is false evidence appearing real...Fake News!
Faith is acting on the Word of God...Good News!

God has not given us the spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind. Wisdom to make the right choices.

I John 4:17-18-19
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. We are in the world, but not of the world.
We have been translated out of the darkness of the world, into the kingdom of our God.

We loved Him because He first loved us.
God is love and there is no fear in love but perfect love cast out fear. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Mark 11-23
Have faith in God because faith without works is dead.
We walk by faith and not by sight. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
He that comes to God must believe that God is and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Oh yee of little faith..Where is your faith! Let's look into the gospel..Good News:
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress.
My God in Him I will trust. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you shall take refuge. His truth shall be your shield and your buckle. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day(Coronavirus) Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness. Nor from the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it (Coronavirus) shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place.

No evil (Coronavirus) shall befall you, nor shall any plaque(Coronavirus) come near your dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra(Coronavirus). The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Because He has set His love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble(Coronavirus). I will deliver him and honor him. With a long life, I will satisfy him and show him My salvation. I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, In Jesus name amen. All who are in agreement say Amen Amen & Amen. Your Partner, Dr. Stella

The Year of Clear Vision" 2020"

Happy New Year! A Tribute to Kobe Bean Bryant 1978-2020

If you are reading this message, it means you are one of us who was blessed to make it into 2020. It’s a new day, a new year and a new decade..10 years. We are still here for a purpose, reason, time and season.

Jerimiah 29:11…For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you and to give you a future and a hope. To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die.

Who knew that on January 26, 2020, Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi and seven other individuals would die tragically in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Kobe had been flying by helicopter his entire NBA career from home to work. His goal was to arrive at work an hour early to practice his skillset. His discipline and work ethic set him apart from the rest. Then he would fly home an hour early to spend time with his family that he loved and adored. His purpose for flying in the helicopter was to preserve his body from fatigue and avoid the extra time it took and the stress of driving on the 405, one of the busiest freeways in Southern California.

God knew how many days and the 41 short years Kobe would live on this earth. The enemy Satan came to steal, to kill and to destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life more abundantly. On Sunday, January 26th, nine lives were stolen and cut short. Some will say, God took them, but I submit to you, God did not take them. Psalm 116:15 says… Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

My prayer is that I hope everyone who died all had a personal relationship with God by confessing Jesus as Lord. I believe Kobe knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. It was reported that he and his daughter Gigi attended a Church/Catholic Mass and also received communion on Sunday morning the same day they died. I choose to believe he and Gigi were believers in Christ Jesus. Even though I did not know the other passengers on the helicopter, I pray they all made it to heaven. Romans 10:9-10…If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Salvation is a free gift and Jesus sacrificed His life for all mankind to be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting and eternal life.

I am praying for strength and peace for Kobe’s wife Vanessa, his parents, children and all those family members, fans and friends of the victims whose lives were lost in this horrible tragedy. I am praying for healing of all of our broken hearts and freedom from grief and bereavement. I pray for the Prince of Peace to grant the peace that passes all understanding. I pray that many, many lives will be saved and God’s love will penetrate the hearts and minds of those who are lost and in need of a Savior. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just that he may forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness…I John 1:9.

I pray Kobe Bryant’s legacy will live long and strong into eternity. I pray I will see him again in heaven…Rest in Peace '‘Black Mamba” Kobe Bean Bryant. God’s Dearly Beloved son.
