Beauty is Only Skin Deep!

Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands on us; yes, the work of our hands, establish it.
— Psalm 90:17

Man looks on the outside but God looks at the heart. Your appearance is important but your heart is paramount. Out of the abundance of the heart, your mouth will speak. What's on the inside of you will eventually come out. The heart can be deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? The Lord searches the heart and tests mindset.

What are you communicating to others around you?

Will the real "you" stand up? No one likes a phony or an impostor. You are an original! Your heart should be consistent with how you look on the outside. 1 Peter 3:3-4 reminds us to not let our adornment be merely outward, arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel: rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Real beauty comes from the inside and emanates on the outside. It really is true as the old adage goes, "Beauty is only skin deep."For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23:7

The heart is where your soul and spirit connect. John 7:38 Jesus said, He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart, will flow rivers of living water. When you drink the living water you will never thirst again. Jesus is the bread of life. He who comes to him will never hunger and he who believes in Him will never thirst.

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called into one body, and be thankful. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Let the beauty of the Lord be upon you.

Let your light so shine before men, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16.

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
